Kit Heath talk about the increase in silver price
The 1980's saw an increase in the price of silver to $50 an ounce, what the industry retailers and consumers want to is; will it happen again?
It looks like it might.....

As is well documented the price of silver has risen significantly over the last 12 months. 

It was just $18 this time last year and at the end of 2010 was “only” $28 an ounce. The last four months, however, have seen an even steeper silver price rise culminating in the recent 30 year peak of $49. 

 

As a business, at Kit Heath we continue to work hard with our suppliers to maximise design value. 

We hope the silver price increases are short lived, but the general economic climate seems to support a “high” silver price trend for the foreseeable future and not just a temporary supply curve like we saw in the 80's. 

Silver is now an investment vehicle, at least whilst global interest rates are kept low and whilst demand outstrips supply. As a result the silver price is expected to remain high, volatile and at the mercy of speculators.

We will continue to carefully monitor the silver price on a regular basis, as we remain wholly committed to our strategy of offering excellent value for money to our retailers and consumers.

The Cambridge Look!

After a wonderful bank holiday of celebrations that swept across the country, there is another thing that is sweeping the nation and integrating itself in to our every day life which is the style of our rejuvenated royals!

Here at Kit Heath we have been keeping a close eye (much like every other office interested in all things fashion) on what our newest royal will be wearing next?

Most recently, we were captivated by Catherine's outfit the day after the big event, which was to mark her newly appointed title as the Duchess of Cambridge by wearing the classic colour associated with Cambridge.

Was it a deliberate move or was it just to match that engagement ring we wondered! We settled on probably both and happily went on with our next discussion which was indeed about those elegant and dreamy but oh soooo comfortable looking wedges! 

It got us thinking and researching about Cambridge blues and we found some information which we thought we would share, it seems the actual colour itself comes into dispute and perhaps will be settled once and for all by our new Duchess? We think so.

Kit Heath Kids Easter

Allow Kit Heath Kids to help you celebrate Easter with something that will last longer than a chocolate egg this year. Although we all adore chocolate at Kit Heath, some of us this year we have decided that we are going to invest our pennies more wisely when it comes to gifts this Easter.

Busy day for Kit Heath!

Today has been an eventful one for us at Kit Heath. 

Firstly, we announced the winner of this seasons Facebook Competition! We were thrilled to randomly select Hjordis as our seasons winner and were able to post off this afternoon her selected prize from the new collection. 

To enter the competition was simple, all you needed to do was find your favorite piece from the new collection album and tell us which one it was and why on our Facebook page. 

Hjordis chose the new Oasis Pebble Necklace and commented "I love the oasis pebble necklace its simple yet sophisticated and stylish and a fabulous colour. Love the matching rings and earrings too" we could not agree more! Its a lovely classic piece. 

And as if that was not enough excitement for one day we decided we would launch our Beachcomber Spring Offer.
